Chennai cultural academy in association with Lions club of Chennai Town presented 2017 Film awards to eminent film personality and people in other professional who have greatly contributed in their field. The function was held on 1 st January 2018 at Vidhyodhya Auditorium Chennai. The Best achievement award in non film category was awarded to Dr.S.Ramasamy EECP consultant in non -invasive cardiology. The award was presented by Hon’ble Justice Dr.P. Jothimani and PMJF. Kalaimamani Ln. Dr.G.Manilal President Lions club Chennai.
The award was given in recognition for his contribution in non surgical cardiac treatment to heart disease patients in Tamilnadu and all across India. Dr.S.Ramasamy currently involved in creating treatment facility in All TamilNadu Government Medical college Hospitals. This is the nobel endeavour to reach thousands of poor cardiac patients through government funded Chief Minister Comprehensive insurance scheme. Already 12 TN government Hospitals and 15 Private centre are operational in India. The vision is to create 100 centres by 2018 end.
The award function was attended by more than 500 delegates and many eminent film actors, actress and directors participated and received awards.
