Enhanced External Counter Pulsation treatment was launched on 9 th August 2015 in Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital by Director of Medical Education Dr.S.Geethalakshmi in the presence of Tirunelveli District collector Mr.Karunakaran IAS, Mayor of Tirunelveli E. Bhuvaneswari, Member of Parliament (RS) Tmt.Vijila Sathyananth , Dean of Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital,Director Vaso-Meditech Dr. S.Ramasamy and Chief Advisor of Vaso-Meditech Pvt Ltd Mr. Bindhu Madhavan IAS, (Retired Additional chief secretary to the Gov of TamilNadu )
EECP THERAPY uses a proprietary technology to inflate and deflate a series of pneumatic cuffs enclosing the lower extremities of the patients. Treatment is administered on a padded table in which three sets of electronically controlled inflation and deflation valves are located.
